Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have built in

• A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alternatives for decorative ones
• Labels on links that open in a new tab, so screen reader users know before they click
• Form fields with visible labels, required fields marked with an asterisk, and status messages announced to screen readers
• A mobile menu button that works with the keyboard and reports whether it is open or closed
• Blog posts with a short summary and a version you can listen to

Known limitations

The Doula Mixer Tour video on our Events page does not have captions yet. Some pages link to documents and websites run by other organizations, which we do not control.
